The owner of my home planted some lavender in front, but it is hardly the aromatic variety (it didn't flower much this spring and when it did the blooms almost seemed too big for lavender). Does anyone know the type of lavender to get that will produce a stronger scent and flower more along the stalk?

Jannie,
I get good results with sweet lavender that I buy from Michigan Bulb Co. It makes great sachets and the scent is very heady, besides the foliage being a shiny silver color that goes well with my blues and purples and it seems to like the crappy soil we have smile

Here's a quick little site, with some info.
