O.K. Most of you here are familiar with my little slug problem.....you know, with the beer!

Well, now that I have learned (the hard way) that you put the beer in a BOWL so the slugs will drown, I decided to set a beer trap the other night for the slugs!

I filled two bowls up with cold Coors Light night before last. I looked out a few minutes later and the slugs were crawling up the sides of the bowls! Yippeee! <img border="0" alt="[clappy]" title="" src="graemlins/clappy.gif" />

I looked out about 10 minutes later and my skunks were drinking the beer! They drank every drop, and literally licked the bowls dry!

I guess it's on to plan "B" now, when I figure out what that is!

Fill one bowl with Jim Beam
and one with Jack Daniels,
and see which one gets:

ROFLOL, that's too funny....I can just picture it now......and weezie has quite an idea there, while you're at it can you try it out with some Budweiser and Miller so we can really see which is the best. I was always partial to Coors light, but I think that your skunks can end the Bud vs. Miller thing once and for all.....wonder if they are hung over?????

The skunks probably cleaned up your slugs as well as the beer. Try and put a heavy object over the beer (so the skunks can't knock it over) but set it up on sticks or something so it will leave a little room for the slugs to slime their way under to their death trap.

Ummmm what are you going to do one of these days when you run out of cat food and beer for those skunks???? Hope you have a video camera ready.

I came close to that Saturday night! I was sitting outside watching the skunks eat, drinking a Jim Beam and Pepsi. I was about half finished with my drink (and half lit), and a bug got in it. I dumped it out by the chair, and the skunks came up and started lapping it up!


Wow, that's pretty gross! But, that's what happened!


It's only a matter of TIME!


plants and Pots - You must have ESP!!! That post was freaky, because the next night, "Sunflower" was limping VERY bad! I took her food to her out in the garden because she could barely walk. Don't know if she got hit by a car, or what.
(Can they sue me for that?)


Now all I need is a garden gnome. I can see it now! Me, a half-dozen drunk skunks, and Wild Willy partying out in the bird garden!

I was thinking of you Cindy the other day,
on one of the Entertainment Tonight's or night reporting stories like that where they report stories of the day....
One was a lady that was feeding her birds **Pigeon's**
She converted one of those huge European looking two tiered water fountains into a gia~ganto
Hey, maybe if it worked out you could use two more fountains, one for feeding beer to the slugs and a seperate one for the skunks, so they don't fight over the beer!!!!

Cindy, when you were growing up and thought that someday you might be famous, I'll bet that this claim to fame wasn't exactly what you had in mind...

People from all over the world know you now!

Let's see...I've met one of the Presidents of the United States, Dorothy Lamore has been to my house to visit (1965), I've been front and center in a "Poison" video ("Unskinny Bop"), I've slept in the same house with Lynard Skynard (and their dad), I had a full-page article written about me in a well-known tabloid a few years ago.......and I'm finally famous via "The Garden Helper" forum!

And I have a theme song now to the tune of "EIEIO"!
