How do you keep them out? Litter box is 3 feet away. Big cats use it, kittens occasionally still use it. eek

to keep felines from going where not wanted or marking places you don't want marked use orange peelings, orange spray they don't like citrisy stuff.mine(named crash for obvious reasons)use to like to play havock with my MG and thought the best place to spend day sleeping was in my flower beds curled ON TOP of plants.I recently had to scatter orange peelings round pool cause he thought the sand was his new outdoor liter box(not fun to step in barefoot when vacumeing pool...makes ya go AAAHHHHHH YUCKERS) course top of my window Ac looks strange cause as you have guesed is a few orange peelings laying there as well, but solves my problem& yes orange oil is safe for plants

Thanks much! They seem to enjoy some of the containers more than others, but here's betting they'll move to the others if I don't do them all! Off to the store for oranges! smile

How about a "Cat garden"? A secluded place where your cats and those of your neighbors can go partying with "Catnip", Catmint" and other plants that attracts them; then maybe they'll stay away from your favorite potted plants.

I have had great luck with moth balls. I had noticed the cats had been using a flowerbed for their bathroom so I scattered moth balls around the area and they didn't come back around until the moth balls were gone. I noticed my dogs didn't like them either. Although my nephews wanted to play with them. LOL Good luck with the kitten. wavey
