I read somewhere that lupin
seeds should be frozen for 24-48 hours before sowing, i.e. that they need a cold spell for optimal germination. I just bought some Russell (hybrid) Mix Lupin
seeds, and am wondering whether a) the cold-treatment is necessary for ALL lupin species, and b) prepackaged
seed would have already undergone any cold-treatment necessary.
Also, I gather that Russell Mix lupins prefer more fertile soil than the L. perennis, which I was hoping to ultimately intersperse with the hybrids. As far as you/anyone knows, is it possible to grow both on the same site?
Thank you!
