O.K. I was in a bar Saturday night and there was a baseball game on the big screen. I imagine this would have been the Red Sox? Duh

As you can see, I don't know much about baseball! shocked

I did go to a game once, when Pete rose broke some record a long time ago (in the 80's). nutz

O.k. let me fill you in as best as I can: The Red Sox have been trying to win a world series since way before I was born I think. They ended up getting into the playoffs (American League) against the Yankees this year (as well as last year). This series is the best out of seven games goes to the World Series. The Yankees won the first three games , then the Sox won the next game and everyone was saying that never in the history of baseball has a team come from behind 3 games to zip. Now the Sox have tied it up 3-3 and forced a game seven which has never been done before. Duh

Oh , did you say you wanted to know anything about baseball. Let me know if you want to hear about the "curse of the bambino"

The curse is about the only thing I know about baseball...

They just shouldn't have traded Babe Ruth, huh!???

And tell me, whhhhhhhhhhy did they trade him????
What was the reason, that I don't think I've ever heard??

In 1920, however, Red Sox owner Harry Frazee needed money to finance his girlfriend's play, so he sold Babe Ruth's contract to Colonel Jacob Ruppert's New York Yankees for $100,000 (plus a loan collateralized by Fenway Park).

Boston's opponent has yet to be determined, pending Thursday night's Game 7 of the National League Championship Series. But there is reason to believe that either the St. Louis Cardinals or the Houston Astros could be tougher to beat than the New York Yankees.

eek

Hoping for Houston, only because we seem to have a lot of Texans here !

anyone watching?? Red sox in St. louis , ninth inning , we're winning 4-0 . If they hold it the series will be Sox 3/Cardinals 0 and that means the sox only have to win one more game(tomorrow night) and then nobody has to put up with me babbling on about the Red Sox..............until March when they are down in Ft. Meyers Fla, if I go down this year can I come visit you Karen? Are you near there?
