Think I'll go out and sleep in the caddy... Might call "On-Star" and ask them where the skunk is!

I was too chicken to go in the basement! There is NO smell outside...just in the basement, where a garage is. The skunk can't get into the second level of the basement, thank God! I walked all the way around the house.... ...too scared to go into the basement. I mean... ...what GOOD could actually come of me going in the basement at this point?

This happened at my parents farm once. My dad didn't realize it and found himself in a stare down with it! Oopsie. After about 20 attemts to get up the stairs (it was so sick with rabies) it made it outside and my dad disposed of it before it could get to my pets. I had dogs & cats up the wazoo in the livingroom to save them from the skunk! Hope you have a happy ending to your stinky story!

it could be your new pet!!!! Ya know, when I was still in school, a couple who lived near the school had a pet skunk. They had her "descented"....we always just said it was "deskunked". But she was just like a cat.....but with longer nails!!

I had a friend once (hmmm...imagine that!) whose boyfriend moved in with her and brought his pet skunk that was "deskunked". It still stank/stunk pretty bad. When you walked in her house, it smelled just like this one does now! And that sucker was MEAN! It would just walk up and bite the crap out of you for no apparent reason. She had to get her feet stitched up on more than one occasion because it would bite her feet whenever she sat at the table barefooted. She finally told her boyfriend it was either her or the skunk....make a choice. He moved out and took the skunk! It's smelling better in here now... ...or maybe my nose is just accustomed to the stink now! Cindy P.S. Who's gonna be the first to say "I told you so?"

Hopefully your house will smell better soon.We had an animal scratching at a bicket that is next to the house lastnight. I made Stephen go out to see what it was, but it ran away before he could see what it was. He says it was bigger than a cat...and I'll believe that! It was making some pretty serious scratching sounds!!!!

You know, it's almost funny being afraid of something as small as a skunk. Assuming it doesn't have rabies. But at the same time, I think I would freak out if I came face-to-face with one. I came face-to-face with a HUGE porcupine once. That was scary. Even though I know they don't really "shoot" quills, geez that thing was huge! Bigger than most dogs! It was dark and I thought it was a baby bear at first.

I told you so, you drunk skunk loving freak! Hmmm..... I made Stephen go out to see what it was, but it ran away before he could see what it was. This might have been a good thing! You know, it's almost funny being afraid of something as small as a skunk. I'm afraid of stuff as small as a parrot! Actually, my cat brought a mouse inside last winter and I jumped up on the table! And they are so tiny! Cindy

Tell me about it! And STRONG! ! ! I got into a fight with a racoon a few years ago over a charm bracelet. He kicked my a$$! Then he took the charm bracelet to his "secret jewelry hiding spot" and I never saw it again! Cindy

Several years ago when I lived at my farm, one of my Norwegian Elkhound's (an old female) would catch a possum every now and then and keep it with her for DAYS! She'd carry it around in her mouth, then when she'd lay it down it would just fall over "dead"! She'd sleep with it right next to her, usually with her arm across it so it couldn't get away. Every now and then they would try to get away from her when she was asleep.....but she'd usually wake up in time to catch them and bring them back. We'd end up having to take them away from her after a few days. She never tried to hurt them, just wanted a "baby". It was kind of sad... Cindy
