I'm guilty, too.
I know I need to stop, but I just can't.
I was at my cousin's for a bar-b-q night before last, and was Jonesing really bad! Had to get back here and see what had been going on without me! I wasn't even finished eating, so I wrapped a hotdog in a papertowel and stuck it in my purse for "later", and LEFT! That's just SICK! laugh

I can come up with several good excuses to stay at this site constantly. For one thing, I can't work outside in the yard now due to the surgery. So, I tell myself this is the second best thing...seeing what everyone else is doing.

Another good reason to be here, is it saves a lot of money. Before I found this site I was on Ebay 24/7. Ebay to me was just like driving on the interstate; NO ONE passes me! That's why I have this high-speed internet...dial-up caused me to lose the collectible beer can opener I was bidding on one night. So, I got this high-speed the next day, looked up the person who outbid me on the beer can opener, and for the next week I made her life a living hell! I bought everything she was bidding on! Now, that's ADDICTION!!! laugh (I got another beer can opener a few days later, in better condition and cheaper...but that's not the point!)

So, you see we can find reasons and make excuses for being here all the time. (That's a bad sign!)

Do we need a 12-step program here?

"Hi. My name is Cindy, and I'm a Garden Helperholic."

OMG Phoebe, me too! Since my husband's been out of town this week, I eat breakfast AND dinner with my left hand and surf around here with my right!

And when he's in town, he complains I'm ignoring him because I'm still on here!

Uh oh! He's coming home today! shk

And why does Bill even WANT us to be here all the time?
Is it just a "control thing"?
(He makes us do it, you know. Mind control.)
I just can't figure out WHY!!!
What's in it for him? Taking over the world through this forum?
He's got a good start!

Yes, I do! I eat at the computer, lunch and dinner, and if I can get my hair to stop frizzing I'm on before I go to work. Does that mean I'm addicted? I think not. I'm not addicted. I'm the only one here who's NOT addicted. Addiction is something that controls, you can't stop, your psychologically trapped. Does a measley hour in the morning, 45 minutes at lunch during the work, week, 1-2 hours during the morning on Saturday and 3 or 4 fours a night add up to addiction. Of course not. There are still hours in the day to do other things, like think about what to write when you get back on, or post pictures that you've taken of your own flowers. No, not me. I clean. I'm sober. I'm not an addict.

Interesting question. We are not addicts. Bill is! He's addicted to control. See, once again...I'm sober. I'm clean. I'm not an addict.

Sorry, but denial is a BIG sign of addiction!
If you don't think you have a problem, you DO!

As for Bill...
I can't quite figure the guy out. (When I picture him, it's like the "Wizard Of OZ"!)
What's up with him?
Why does he put up with this? laugh laugh laugh
Why does he scare me so bad?
nutz

Who is he, anyway???

If you had all those posts that got "poofed", you'd already be at 10,000!

That's unreal!

How do you find the time? I have nothing to do all day....no kids (except Lola), no job, NOTHING!!! Blows my mind!

Cindy,
Bill really is a very~very nice guy!
Us girls give him the ole one two every so often..
except, there was that one time sca

Hahahahahahaha~Just Kid~ding youuuuuuuuuuuu :p

But I find the time when I'm eating my breakfast, in between feeding the kids, getting 2 lunches made, in between yellin' at them to get dressed,
getting dressed myself, and of course going potty and makin' a cup of tea...Also, I'm getting my husband up and out of the house and in between there's hugs and kisses!!! And the phone call to my mother in the morning to see if she's OK, she's like "Are you typing again??? She says, I'm hangin' up now"..... My husband says, "You on that thing already" "Do you think I may have some clean pants today hun??? laugh
And that's only by 8:ooam!
I go out side, and do a chore, get wanting something to drink and come in for it, and of course that rubber band pulls me right on over to the chair and I just have to click on the garden helper!!!
But what makes me keep comin' back is allllllllll the really, really nice folks I meet and chat with here, lately I have been slower than a bag a rocks with my replies!!!
Sorry for that!!!
I could go on and on and on and onnnnn, but I've got to go make home made lasgna!
But, I'll be back!!!

When I found this post last winter while digging around on the net trying to find garden "stuff" I thought it was just great but never in my wildest would I have thought that it would put me in front of the computer even during the growing season. I have always put a "pause" on my computer time once I'm in the garden untill the ground is white again. And even though I might not post, I enjoy the reading and keeping up and I think all you guys out there just inspire me. Never has my garden looked so good as this year and I know its all the juicy good tips and info I get right here!!!Our lives are all miles apart and so very different, yet all so wonderfully familiar and comfortable. We found it because we love to garden, but the addiction comes from meeting those good "salt of the earth" people, and we all know that gardeners are just the darn best. Thanks fellow gardeners for being here!!!!

Yeah, me too! I find myself worrying that I'm going to get too behind to catch up on all the posts. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I find a job & go back to work. My poor family will just have to fend for themselves while I catch up, each night, LOL! It's either that, or no sleep! laugh laugh laugh laugh

I've been an addict for over a year now.....this place became my homepage from almost the very beginning......I remember thinking to myself, well Bill has something good going here--before I even new really who Bill was :p Don't let him fool you, underneath that facade he's really a softy grinnnn .....

Nowadays I get in spurts.....sometimes I read a lot and don't post, other times I become a posting machine.....

I wouldn't know what to do without this place...
