Hardiness Zone

A Hardiness zone is a geographical index of region that define a plant's ability to withstand annual minimum winter temperatures and/or lengths of growing seasons.

Hardiness zones range from zone 1, with a minimum temperature of -50 degrees F, to zone 10, with minimum temperatures of 30 to 40 degrees F and can also be referred to as a USDA zone.
