can anyone tell me the correct way to store squash, so that it lasts and does not deteriorate once it has been picked? And still on the same subject anyone have a good soup recipe? thanks folks!

Cool dry, dark place....
and use the ones with nicks' and dents first..
*they will deteriorate faster than the clean one's*

Hey, Weez, I read somewhere that a good way to get pumpkins and gourds to look nice for a long time, like when you're using them as decor, is to wash, dry well and coat them with Vaseline.
What do you think? Makes sense or no?

If you look down in the recipe section you will probably find many good soup recipes. Or try googling soup within the website. that too should give you a nice selection of soups to try.
