So Ernesto rolled through yesterday and after not getting any rain for almost two months, we had over 10 inches and neighborhood lake flooding.

So...my plants are a mess, all my sunflowers and any other tall plants were leveled, and fell on my herb garden and ruined all my nice basil frown

Just had to vent! Time to clear out everything and buy new plants (at least I have a legit excuse now)

Anyone else having issues with this storm???

BTW-many other people had worse damage than us, so I am very greatful everyone is ok and as much survived as did.

So sorry to read about your damage, Claire! kissies
Mother Nature surely has a mind of her own, doesn't she?!?

We are having high winds, cool temperatures, and a bit of rain from Ernesto today. I don't think it's nearly as bad as they were predicting, but then again, the media loves to blow things out of proportion, ya know?

At least you can still plant new things - our season is winding down to a finish - a bit early this year I might add!

We're getting the same thing this morning..
I don't think it's stopped raining yet! :p
All my tall flowers like my Verbena Bonariensis
are almost flat now.. eek

Yeah, it's been winding down here too...

kissies I'm sorry....it's frustrating isn't it?

I was just outside in the rain walking around the garden and tons of my plants are flattened out. eek

Yup, me too, *raising hand*

I live right at the mouth of the Cape Fear river in N.Carolina,
where Ernesto rolled ashore.
Most of my plants are looking pretty sad and bedraggled too,
after all the hours of pounding rain and gusting wind.
I won't be getting any pretty pictures of my blooming ginger plants frown

I'm counting my blessings 'tho, no serious damage.
I sure am glad he wasn't a more powerful storm!

Hoping that everyone who has been affected is doing okay.
