I am interested in purchasing a bay leaf tree and have found a few on line. Since I live in zone 5 I will need to keep it inside for the winter, then move outside in the spring. Has anyone grown one of these? I thought it would be nice to have fresh bay leaves for cooking. smile

Bill has one. But he is the only member that I know of who has one.

With as big as those trees get you'll be able to keep all of us in bay leaves. lol.

I hope you get a really good one and it grows great for you.

I bought my mom a bay laurel tree a few years ago. She lives in Southern Utah where the winters are too cold for it so she gorws it in the house. It is doing wonderful for her!

I also do use fresh bay leaves as well as dried and personally enjoy both. I have heard before that some people prefer not to use fresh off the tree leaves and dry them first.
