:p my daughter saw first hand today what has been eating our iceberg rose petals...leafcutter bees(wasps, whatever they are)she watched as it landed, cut, and we both saw it fly away with a piece of my rose! mad I knew something was making holes, but still,to see all of my hard work flying away little by little.
it's okay. I can share with natureI guess!! muggs

GoodOnya Mrs Bradley! I have a whole swag of figbirds and honeyeaters having more than their share of my mulberry tree. So i netted one half and left them with the other. Last year i got greedy and tried to net the whole thing. They found their way in, got stuck etc and i spent ages getting them out. Still didn't get many mulberries.
This way we both get a feed and it's not even a little bit as hard:-)

I was going to say, other than unsightly,
cutter bees are not harmful to anything really..
in anything I've ever read..

I know it's hard to see your hard work 'altered'
but at least it's good to know they won't kill the plant or infest it like some pests can/do...
