Question on begonia tubers
I received as a gift 6 tubers. When I unpacked them 2 had sprouted. I was under the assumption that the root sprouts first, but have had other opinions as to the sprout being the "flower " and hence should plant it sprout up.
As I have only ever bought the "plant" my experience is very limited on tubers.

So I throw this out to the experts.

Sprout UP or sprout DOWN Duh

Sybil, plant them with the sprout up. On the tubers that are not sprouted, one side of the tuber has a should have a depression while the other is more rounded. Plant these tubers with the depression up.
