While playing with my indoor babies this morning, I noticed that the fig vine? had white fuzz on the joints of the leaves where they join to the branch. It doesn't pick off easily but it will rub off and leave a little brown bugger type thing on my fingers.

Anyone know what it is??

(Told you I was a novice! wink )

Does it look like this? If so, it's mealy bug.

Uh... well, yes and no. What I've seen isn't spread out on the leaves. It's a tight little web right on the node. But I'm gonna try what I read on the page you gave me. I can see all my indoor plants getting that and that ain't gonna happen!

Thanks, Longy! smile

sounds like mealybugs and they are having babies now... so they are in their crawler stage. Now is the time to treat with an Insecticidal soap or horticultural oil. If not.. you are going to have them all over.

PS mealybugs are actually a type of soft scale
