hello all,

in my house,everywhere,i got 50 pots of seedlings,some pots have more than one seed ;my question is the following:

wich one of those ones should i get under cover(sorry the eng. name escape me )you know when you put like a plastic or a bottle of plastic over it so it ll be warmer and helps germinate faster.and should i remove it during the day or leave it on the seeds until germinations ???

i ve sowed the following:

lupin
daysies
centaurea montana
snapdragons
**** s combs
agaphantus blue
hibiscus
dianthus
sweet william
sea holly
cosmos orange
colombine long spured mixed
celosia plumeria
nasturium
gladiolas
aster
lobelia
wonder eggs
chilian glory vine
bleeding hart(i planted it the 21 feb and they don t show their nose yet,would it be because it s too deep or because of too much water?? )

lol... well Bill it s not my fault if the comb flower s got that name..

I just sat here for 5 minutes thinking up all the 4 letter bad words I knew and finally it was like...DUH!... ****s Combs!

I would cover all of the pots with plastic wrap to create a greenhouse effect. Keep the seeds moist,but not wet. Don't let them dry out. Once most of the seeds have germinated, remove the plastic wrap and put them under grow lights if you have them. Always mist them with warm, not cold water.

My basement is my growing place. I have 50 geraniums, 88 zinnias, 91 celosia, and 88 dahlias which I am transplanting today into peat pots. I have two two tier grow lights that are 4 foot each. Four 4 foot table top grow lights right now, and have 2 more 4 foot table tops on order. Last year I had 94 geraniums growing besides all of the other flowers and vegetables. I will be starting my vegetables as soon as the seeds come in.

that s awsome and a lot of work but worth it aint it

Doesn't it drive you crazy planting all those seedlings outside. I winter sowed one year and thought I'd die before I got everything transplanted.

hi,

my pools as you see on the pictures take a big part of my yard,each side i ve got a garden(one is about20 x 15 and the other is about 5 x 10) and in another corner i ve got my lasagna bed and the patio with tables,chairs under a canopy in the summer we eat there,we bbq all sumer long.

so it s not exactly very big but enought to keep me busy,the fact that i work shift helps also a little.

oh ya, today i received your seeds sheri,thank you very much,would it be better to start inside or to directly plant those outside as soon as the ground is unfrozen?
