i have grown oxalis for about a year now, and have decided that i really like it, as long as i remember that it isn't dead, just resting! mine has "died" back about 3 times since may, and comes back each time more than ever. a very good plant!!

JIFFYMOUSE

Your 100% correct.......
I had mine outside for the summer in the beds, dug them up, repotted them, and they just died to the pot.....In a week they was snapped back and multiplying like crazy.....
They love my east window.. morning sun.

I think they enjoy the cooler climate..I am zone 5 or 6.

I have been growing an oxalis plant that I received from someone here around last March. I'm also growing it in an eastern window, and it has flowered all summer, and is now sending out a new flower shoot.

I've heard that they need a couple months rest, to continue growing happily - but mine is still growing strong. Can I just let it do it's own thing?

Here it is next to a bromeliad of similar coloring - I really like the two plants together.

Yes - this one blooms white as well.

I'd love to see pictures of yours - then I'll know which one I have.
I'd also like to get my hands on the purple one with pink flowers - one of these days...

Plants n pots...is that a type of bromeliad? Mine says it's a "Cryptanthus"...Has yours separated for you yet? Mine did that a few weeks ago:

myndful - yes, it is in the bromeliad family.

"All Cryptanthus belong to the subfamily Bromelioideae".

I have another one that I got at the same time, and it had 2 tiny babies that got knocked off - thanks cats! thumbup
