Cute! I've got sort of attached to my LOUD frog....I really like the pics you got! I thought mine would sit on my fake lily pad fountain but he doesn't....he just sits on the edges of pots that are almost above the water.
The other day I went down to the pond and he was out of the pond sitting under the Zinnias, he flung himself in the pond so quick I about fell in it!
I got no frogs in my pond >heavy sigh< Maybe one of these days I will have... I did see they had pollywogs and tadpoles at the PetCo the other day. I almost bought a couple but wasn't sure if they would eat the small fry. Does anyone know about that? I think these were bullfrog tadpoles.
I don't know if they would eat them. There are about 8 baby fish in my pond right now , but the frogs don't seem to be messing with them. I kind of wish they would though, because I don't want TOO many fish
I miss my Freddy Frog - have not seen him yet this summer. Though, that might be because it's too darn hot and humid for me to be outside more than a few quick minutes lately.
Oh NO! Pete and Delmar are missing! I haven't seen them since Friday! It has been incredibly hot here lately. Do frogs go away somewhere when it's real hot?
Not very deep, a couple of feet or maybe a little more. They do hide under the leaves and junk at the bottom sometimes. Maybe they're under there. I did find a frog under the plastic waterfall once a couple years ago. Maybe they're under there. I hope they're OK!
fish will eat their own eggs as well as as taddies and taddie eggs, we have 2 very large bull frogs, billi bob and bobby sue...lol they have been eating my new koi, we actually viewed one with the binos and it still had the fins hanging out its mouth. 2 went missing and they were about 4-5" long
Oooh I would hate to see that! I saw a picture of a huge frog eating a small bird once. That was very gross. Maybe you should put some cheepo fish in there for the frogs before they eat all those expensive koi!
Still no sign of Pete and Delmar, but I saw a really pretty leopard frog by my pond today. I never thought I'd describe a frog as pretty, but that one really was!
