When is the best time to trim my Jasmine to make it thicker on my lattice? They were planted last year and are very thick and healthy on the lower ft., and have maybe three-four vines about 5ft. tall shooting up the lattice. It is flowering nicely. Any advise on this plant would be appreciated.

I dont trim mine until winter sets in and it seems to come back thicker every year... I don't know for sure if that is the right time to prune it back but it works for me! I have been trying to find out more about it. Mine is Wild Jasmine that just popped up behind the greenhouse about three years ago! You talk about smelling wonderful! grinnnn In mid summer you can smell it all around the backyard!

Thank you, eclo. I'll prune it back this winter and see what transpires. Mine is planted by the front door, and the aroma wafts in the frontyard, and into the house when the door is open. very pleasing to my senses.
