I'm almost absolutely positive I've asked this question before. But I can't remember the answer. I'd like to do it this fall. But I want to make sure they aren't all roots and fall apart on me. I want them to be like they are when I bought them in the store.

depends on your climate. I live in the northwest, and mine go dormant in late fall. First the leaves yellow, then die. I have some in buckets for over 10 yr. and still thriving.

Thanks Darlene, I'll check them out in late fall early winter depending on how the year is shaping up.
