i think there are a few of us beginners this year in composting and i've read around here and found browns can be harder to come across in the summer. so can we all put some of our best ideas together for browns so all us beginners can have a place to reference back to?

dried leaves from fall
dried grass clippings
shredded bales of hay
shredded newspaper

can we use paper plates and paper towels/napkins (as long as i didn't use them with cleaning solutions)?

no coffee grounds aren't considered a brown. They can be applied directly to the garden from what I understand and that acid loving plants like it.
