almond tree - November 16th, 2006 at 12:13 AM
Hello everyone,
I have just joined. I live in the suburbs of London and have a big Almond tree in my back garden, which, each year, produces many hundreds of nuts. To date, I haven't harvested them as I don't really know how they should be prepared/stored - so every year I watch the squirrels come and systematically strip the tree bare. But next year I want some for myself - what should I do?
(And, incidentally, as an indication of how the climate has changed in the last few years, I also have fig and date trees out back, happily producing heavy and tasty crops).
Grateful for your comments,
Regards
