My cilantro plants have gone to seed. Unfortunately they are also very droopy and looking horrid in my porch planter. Will my seeds be viable if I clip and hang the stalks now or do I need to wait for them to dry first? Right now the plant is full of green pods.

I think you have to wait Triss. Sorry to say it.

I am waiting. It looks so awful. Next time I will plant near the back of the garden and not right up on my porch.

Cilantro ( coriander) is a cool weather crop and so goes to seed when night temperatures stay above 50 degrees. Let your seed get slightly brown. Since the plant struggles at this time, minimize watering so as not to rot the plant before some of the seed matures and try to keep the plant in a cool location.
