Hello, Big Jim here:

I often read that I should pinch back new growth citrus to promote a bushy look. I have no idea what they mean by pinching. I even looked the definition up here at this site, and it did not hlp me much. smile

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...

Hi Jim wink

It's basically when you use your thumb and forefinger to remove a bit of the end growth on a plant. I would guess depending on what you need to pinch back, the exact place you pinch off is different. I wasn't real sure how to pinch back my mums...so I just really took a blind stab at it, and pinched off about 1/2 - 1" off the ends, as I saw fit...must've done it right, because they're super busy now laugh

Hope that's helped!
