Hi everyone,
I'm new here. I've been browsing looking for an answer. I have False Sunflower in my garden in S.E. MA. This summer tiny red insects have appeared on the stems just below the flowers. But they are not on all the plants. Does anyone know what they are? and are they harmful?

Are the leaves getting all gnarly looking, if so it could be aphids, and yes they are harmful. but easily taken care of with most over the counter insecticides.
