I have some red spider lilies coming up all over the yard, and I dug them up,only a few are in bloom, the rest were bulbs, hoping to plant them in a mass, staggered. The flower bed for them is 4ft wide by 8ft long. It's in the morning sun until late afternoon, with evening shade. What my question is, what can I plant right in the bed with them for winter flowering? These lilies don't bloom for too long at a time, so the bed needs some flowers for the winter. What should I do in this bed? I would appreciate your advice.

I have other kinds of lillies and have black-eyed susan's mixed in. I bought two ground cover plants called blue daze that would look nice. They are still in bloom and they are annuals here in zone 6 but could be perennial in zones 9-11.
