Hi, I have a question? If I'm planting a clematis against a stucco wall, does it need additional support or will the wall be enough to have it to cling to and trial up?

Also does anyone know if the Jackamani needs to be cut down each spring or if it's okay to leave it, and have the new buds come out on the original stems? smile

yes, daisy, you want to provide support. even if it is just fishing line strung between eyes screwed into a simple frame. this is to keep the tendrils of any of your climbing plants from finding small cracks in the masonry and making them bigger.
