I'm having one of those weeks when I can't accomplish much of anything. I'm still working on my garden log plant profiles and need one for the portaluca. I've search and searched but I'm not really comming up with what I think I need. Can some one take me by the hand and lead me to one?

confused confused confused confused

Hi,
May I ask (very timidly) if you meant to spell Portulaca instead of Portaluca?? If so, try Portulaca or moss rose... Hope this helps...

I'm in zone 7a and even the ones I started outside have come up in abundance. The ones I started indoors are taller though. They sure are easy care plants.

I've had them before and like them. I never was able to keep any over the winter though.

Maybe this year.

I was thinking they were annuals. But I am such a numb brain I could be completely out there.

Oh . . . annuals . . . well now, that explains why I didn't get 'em through the winter, I guess.

Heh! Heh!

I planted some in a hanging pot one year and kept them out side until it started getting cool and then brought them inside. I hung them in a west facing window and they did pretty good. I took them back out the following spring. I think they might have survived but a football took them and the pot out so I can't really say... eek

Oh PC that is fantastic news. If I can over winter them in the house I will try. They are a great plant. And I have a window that my other sucullents just love so maybe...
