Just a quick question before the snow starts to fly. I planted an Achillea in a big ceramic pot. Our temps average minus 20-30c's. Since the achillea is a perennial, will it survive in the pot? The pot is 20" w and 16" deep. Thanks.

Achillea is hardy as far north as zone 3, perhaps farther with mulching or heavy snow fall. It will probably survive, but you could wrap the pot in burlap or place a heavy cardboard box over it (leave the top off so it can get moisture) as extra protection.

I would be worried that the moisture in the soil will expand when it freezes and shatter the planter.... Duh
