I wintered over a Hibiscus - how do I get it to bloom again? I've fertilized to no avail <img border="0" alt="[perplexed]" title="" src="graemlins/confused.gif" />

Mine is just now popping up out of the ground from it's winter rest. It seems to be the late sleeper in this part of the country. Is yours coming up yet? I raked in a little compost around mine yesterday. That's all flw I normally do and it blooms every year

Hello wavey KD Roonie,

Welcome to The Garden Helper's Forum..
We are very glad you found us...

Hibiscus' have several types in them,
do you know what kind you have???
There's a tropical, a prennial shrub, and another perennial one that dies back to the ground and re~emerges in late spring/early summer...

And usually all the hibiscus's are late summer/fall time bloomers..
I doubt you'd see it bloom or want it to bloom
this early yet...

Weezie

Don't forget to take a peak around and look at all the sections we have. There's Recipes, Crafts, Hobbies, A Game Room and A Banter Hall for Chatting and getting to know the other members here..
