portulaca is very easy care. It's a succulent but it can take watering and it love full sun. The impatient likes shade. And they both love to bloom. You are so very lucky.

Many flowers close at night. It is a survival reflex to protect their pollen from dew. Some plants, usually native to warm areas, remain open to be pollenated by night critters also.

So you bought 'em from the funny money place, eh? Hi, fellow Canuck - I'm from Toronto.

I remember a day when Canadian Tire sold something really strange - tires - now you can get a side order of chips (fries), if ya' want - ha ha!

isn't a succulant from the cati family? i had portulaca one year, very easy to grow but go to seed very fast if you don't remove the spent flower.

Hello,

canadian tire money:

canadian tire is a bit like a walmart but concentrating on home and auto rather than people, they sell tires, tools, vacum, bbq etc...and when you pay with real currency, they give you back a certein percentage of your change in some canadian tire cents and dollars wich you can use at your next purchase.people here collect it and when they have a certein amount go buy something they want, for example last week-end we bought for 28.00 dollars of flowers(yes they even have a garden department now) and we paid it all with canadian tire money,oh,there is also do mechanic on your car a bit like walmart.

hope that answered your question.

have a good week-end!

wavey Thanks, Francine, for explaining about the Canadian Tire money. That's really a bad deal. What a scam to keep you coming back there to shop! frown

Jmacd, It's not at all a bad deal. A small percentage of your purchase is returned as Canadian Tire money that can only be redeemed at the store but if you choose not to shop there again you aren't out anything. Also, some charitable organizations accept Canadian Tire money to offset costs of cleaning supplies and other items that would otherwise increase their overhead. It is no different than any other frequent purchase program.

Oh...I'm sorry, shocked shocked I misunderstood.
Thought they gave you your change in funny money INSTEAD of real money. Well, I take it back then. grinnnn smile

laugh Yeah, that would suck!
Posted By: Bestofour Re: OK' tell me about... - July 9th, 2005 at 08:18 AM
Hi Francine, impatients like shade and a lot of water.
Posted By: Francine Re: OK' tell me about... - July 9th, 2005 at 08:20 AM
sorry i should have writen instead of a % of your change that it was a % of what you bought: ex,if you buy a 1 buk item, then they give you only 10 cent ,i think it s 1 or 5%,no more so for a purchase of lets say 100bokx,it ll be 1 or 10 dollars funny money.

That makes more sense. Sort of like the Discover credit card. But I think it's less than 10% of purchase.
