me and mom were talking about aloe, and i was wondering if some how they were related 'cause they look very similar!
Aloe and jade are not closely related at all. They belong to different plant families on different sides of a major division in plant classification. Jade (Crassula ovata in Latin) is placed in the family Crassulaceae and is a dicot. Aloe, all 450+ species of them, are in family Asphodelaceae/Liliaceae, and are monocots.
Hope that helps.
IF THEY ARENT RELATED THEY OUGHT TO BE.
MARRY THEM UP AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
;O)
DODGE
could i do that?that would be awesome!(seriously)
I don't think so, but go ahead and try! Many plants can't fertilize outside their species, most can't outside their genus, you're looking at a major difference, it probably won't work, but if you get viable seed, I want some!!!
