Oh...OH...OOOO....something GREW!!! Like really happily grew...in a pot...with giant hot pink flowers all over!! flw flw These things are just climbing right up the patio trellis and draping over my big cushy chair. Its like heaven...finally.

So I ran back over to home depot to get a couple more of these ($19.99 for about a 4 foot plant) and they were sold out. So I went over to our local Armstrongs nursery...and they had ONE...sadly drooping...not nearly as tall and lovely...for a whoppin...$79.99. :p :p Needless to say I didn't buy it! laugh

WHOA! that's a hefty price! They are gorgeous though - I was drooling/kicking&screaming over one last week (not sure if you saw my thread) when I found out they weren't hardy in my zone! Whoosh though, for $80 it would definitely be worth taking it in to overwinter! laugh

They are at my walmart for $6.99 they got yellow ones this year. They had the pink ones in the larger size.
They form a tuber that you can overwinter.

They ARE wonderful...just ask my ducks........they ate the bottom 2 ft.

ters Dagnab ducks!

I didn't know they formed a tuber...how big would you say they grow in a season? The mandevillas, not the ducks laugh

Mine got to about 10 ft.Your grow season is much shorter.I would guess you'll get 8 ft.they like rich soil.
The tubers are about 3 inches.a lil thicker than a dahila tuber.

njoynit, how do you over-winter yours? Mine didn't grow well this year for some reason. I'd like to save them and get them going again next spring.
