Propagating Red Raspberries from Suckers - June 11th, 2005 at 08:27 PM
They (Heritage Red) are in their second season and thriving. The next thing I want to do is expand the size of the patch. My first step was to extend the rows east (the only direction I can go) and planted snap beens on the liberated (from lawn) land.
Is it acceptable to allow the suckers that come up in that ground grow or should I dig the suckers and transplant them?
Even if I can let the suckers grow, that isn't going to fill the entire space so some transplanting is necessary. Is this done best in the fall or spring?
