hi, i have been wondering lately if there is an ideal time in the day to water plants? would it be better to give the plant a watering in the morning before a full day of sunshine or would it matter much if i watered the plants at night?

thanx

I don't know how true this is but I've always heard that it is best to water in the morning. If you water during the hot part of the day you lose too much to evaporation and if you water late in the day you're encouraging pests and diseases. I always water in the morning and have never had a problem. Hope this helps.

Karen is right both in theory and in practice. If you are a perfectionist water in the morning. Otherwise water at whatever time of day is most convenient for you.
