We have a tree in our yard that my grandfather says is a horse chestnut, with lovely pink flowers. Four years ago I planted one of the nuts and it has grown into a new tree. Does anyone know if I can expect flowers this year? Do they have to be a certain age or height?

The fruit and leaves look the same but the flowers on our big tree are a really deep pink. I do have a photo, but I don't know how to post it.
