Looking for a recipe that a neighbor camping by us made I think it comes from the carolinas he had a big pot with sausage, potatos, shrimp, corn on the cob. There was old bay in it I think. any help would be great because that was good.
That sounded so good that I had to search for it. Here is what I found.
Old Bay Shrimp Fest
"Enjoy this one-pot shrimp fest for easy, summertime entertaining! Shrimp, smoked sausage, potatoes, corn and onions are perfectly seasoned with Old Bay?."
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup Old Bay? Seasoning
2 tablespoons salt
4 quarts water
1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer (optional)
8 red potatoes, quartered
2 large sweet onions, cut in wedges
2 pounds lean smoked sausage, cut in 2-inch lengths
8 ears fresh corn, broken in half
4 pounds large shrimp in shells
DIRECTIONS:
In an 8-quart pot, bring Old Bay, salt, water and beer to a boil. Add potatoes and onions; cook over high heat for 8 minutes.
Add smoked sausage to potatoes and onions; continue to cook on high for 5 minutes. Add corn to pot; continue to boil for 7 minutes. Add shrimp in shells, cook for 4 minutes.
Drain cooking liquid. Pour contents of pot into several large bowls, shallow pails or mound on a paper-covered picnic table. Sprinkle with additional Old Bay if desired.
Going to have to try this one.
Thats it Triss. Thanks for finding it. The stuff was so good I have been thinking about for a couple years. It would be great for a fall camping trip with friends. I knew someone would come through.
You are welcome Joe. I showed it to Dan, and he is going to make it for us one of these days as well. Looks good!
This is also known as a Low-Country Boil

It sounds good I must say
Low Country Boil is SOOOOOOOOOO good!.
Mind your cooking time. Last time we had this, the guy that cooked it, cooked those potatoes forever, and they were so incredibly hot. The shrimp and corn were especially awesome!
Oh yeah, ours was without the beer and it was still good.
