Be still my heart - my daffodils are all gathered round my mailbox ready to shine.

I've been watching my bulb beds carefully and tucking them back into the mulch. It is much to early for this now even here in Virginia. Good luck with yours. Your zone 8 right?

I know. This weather is horrible. My daffodils are way up too. Tullips too. I haven't checked for the crocus yet. They may be blooming.

I was wandering around the yard today...My rose bush has new leaves on it...way too early for that, I sure hope I don't lose it...This is my first rose bush and got I it last year for mother's day. My tulips are sprouting as are the naked ladies.

I'm not sure what will happen to my hydrangeas. Week before last they had new leaves sprouting but we had a few nights of below 32 and they've turned brown.

Nothing is up tall enough to bloom yet but your right it is all sticking it's head out of the mulch and I piled it on 3 inches high. If I lose all of these flowers I won't have to worry about hand carrying water I'll just cry on whatever is left.

We are just about on the border of 7a and 7b. The hydrangea started blooming again at the end of Nov and all it's little tips froze - same for lots of other stuff. But the daffodils are very healthy looking and may make it. Hope so - my neighbor planted them all around the creek across the street and they look beautiful when they come up. I love them because they are so cheerful.

My daffs have buds on them. They'll be out in 3 or 4 more days. I can't believe this.

I was just peaking at mine today..
The Tete-a-Tete Daffodils' *miniature's* are poking their heads up about a half an inch..
*these are by the side of my house that over winters' dahlias'... so it's warm over there
and they think it's time too..

*I have to move all of those bulbs.. they sprout wayyy too early..*

The stuff I have in the "Back 40" garden aren't even thinkin' about pokin' their wee~heads out,
they're covered in snow yet...

Mine usually bloom around Easter. This is very much too early.

My daffodils are really starting to poke up out of the ground also. I've really been enjoying these nice temps we've been having, but I hope it doesn't mean we're going to have such extreme warm temperatures come mid summer!!

I've noticed that I have a couple of daffodils about to bloom as well--my azealas are also putting out a lot of new limbs too, and have been for a few weeks now-- I also have a petunia growing at the base of a crape myrtle that never died down through the winter-- still green--not very tall but still quite healthy!!

There are four flowers just about to open. Much to my surprise there was a patch of land along the highway, just a couple of miles north of the Atlanta airport, this morning where the red buds were in bloom.

Guess as soon as we have another mild day I'd better remove the racks from my bulbs then.

I have them there so the squirrels can't eat 'em.

I noticed today that my daylilies are sprouting up...
It has been strange weather here-- I had roses blooming until mid-November(of 2005)!
