Hi All wavey

When last our works in progress thread ended. It was discovered that when changing colors Triss ties knots and Jane does not. Triss' concern is that it will fall apart.

Jane replies -- "Triss, I've never had one fall apart Duh and it's so hard to know where to put the knot
I bury most of my threads that way. I actually embrace that part. It's a zen almost done thing. God Bless Aunt Lu - to her it was the only way!"

To this Triss then responds (laughing so hard it's hard to type - I'm sure) --

"I have never had one fall apart either but the lady who taught me to crochet showed all us girls how it could be done when she told us how important knots were. So I use them. laugh
laugh

So, it turns out while I being trained by Yoda she was being trained by ObiWan!!! laugh

You know... I am laughing so hard -- especially when I remember what an uptight type A Aunt Lu was.... Of course there were no knots! laugh

So which is it ladies.. To Knot or Not to Knot that is the question.... grinnnn grinnnn

That is the question?

Whether 'tis nobler in the yarn to suffer the knots and tangles of outrageous hooking?

Or to take arms against a chain of slipstitches, and by opposing, join them?

To dye? To weave?......NO MORE!

Oh my goodness, I am laughing once again!! Too darn funny Jane.

What is also funny is that the neighborhood "grandma" who taught all of us was as far an opposite from your "uptight type A Aunt Lu" could be. Beyond free spirited so maybe she used knots to ground herself. laugh laugh laugh laugh
