I was getting the trash to the curb this morning and look who showed up on my doorstep.

It is a male and is VERY friendly. No collar, and he wants to come inside....We'll see what Doug says! I want him. I miss having a Kitty...

A cool de-mouser. I'm looking for one here. I'll know when I find the right one. Very pretty.

Wrennie..{{A cheer up box dressed in fur}}..what a beautiful phrase!!!

Tonya, that is a beautiful kitten, so sweet looking, and such pretty color contrast.
Are you thinking of a name?
Posted By: Tonya Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 02:44 PM
I'm afraid to name him in case Doug says no. I am thinking of some, though! thumbup

I like Wrennie's description....he did put a smile on my face, and seems to love it here- I have had to chase him out of the house a few times already! laugh laugh

Tonya, that cat is adorable!!! Hopefully Doug will let you keep him. Just let the girls see the kitty and fall in love with hima nd then look at Doug with those beautiful eyes and say "Please, Daddy" grinnnn

awww so cute!!!
Posted By: Thornius Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 05:02 PM
Ya first outa find out if he does belong to someone. Cats like to wander theneighborhood and come into other peoples house. One of our neighbors has a tomcat named Oreo that visits just about every house in the neighborhood on a daily basis. he shows up on my front porch at 11:30 AM every day to sit on my lap as I watch birds. I look forward to his visits every day. I am a "Cat Person",(as well as being The Bird Man)
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 05:50 PM
tonya, he is gorgeous!!!

he looks really healthy and he's friendly, so i doubt he's a stray - best to find out if he belongs to any of the neighbors before you decide to keep him.

he may have gotten out and just wanted to get back inside a nice warm house!!
Posted By: Tonya Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 06:09 PM
He is MIA now. He is very "beat up" sores and scratches all over. If he does come back here- I will put up flyers at the local stores before keeping him. I know how I would feel if my kitty just disappeared. I wouldn't want to take a kitty away from someone or their kids. thumbup
Posted By: penny in ontario Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 06:23 PM
Poor kitty....i agree with the flyers to try and see if he has a home, and if not, then he's yours!!!!
Posted By: hisgal2 Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 07:39 PM
Tonya, you need to learn how this whole getting a new kitty thing works!!! laugh You find a kitty....you bring it home and care for it....show your hubby the "new addition" and don't give him a choice. That is how I got Thumbs and Snot. I found them, brought them home and took care of their sores, and when Stephen came home, I said "look what I found.....it was hurt and so I fixed him up and he's staying until I find their owner" well....we've had Thumbs for 5 years and Snot for 4 laugh laugh laugh I did look for the owner of Thumbs, but no body claimed him. Actually, I found him frozen to the road! Snot was just a barn cat and nobody cared what happend to her. Anyways, I hope you find him, for his sake...if he has sores and such.

He is a gorgeous cat.....does he have blue eyes???
Posted By: Tonya Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 07:48 PM
Yup- Very blue eyes! cool I hope he comes back! He was so skinny and pitiful, but EXTREMELY friendly! Actually- Doug is a push-over when it comes to animals....If it finds it's way here- it stays! laugh laugh
Posted By: penny in ontario Re: Look what found me! - February 26th, 2007 at 07:51 PM
UMMMMMM Tonya.....Doug is a push over when it comes to animals....just him p

He must have been set to you to cheer you up. Tell Doug the kitty makes you feel happy and if he goes you would be soooo upset... good luck. Im sure the kitty would love the care and attention... I hope no one claims him.

Very pretty kitty Tonya! Did it come back?
Posted By: Tonya Re: Look what found me! - February 27th, 2007 at 01:18 AM
He did come back, but Doug is arguing with me about keeping him..... mad
Posted By: Thornius Re: Look what found me! - February 27th, 2007 at 02:15 AM
Put some tuna out fer 'im. That's what I do for Oreo.
Posted By: hisgal2 Re: Look what found me! - February 27th, 2007 at 02:29 AM
Doug needs to relax.....cats are self sufficient. They take care of themselves. Its not like the cat is going to be a burden or anything.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Look what found me! - February 27th, 2007 at 04:16 AM
you should ask around the neighborhood and find out who's cat it is...if it's been hurt, i'm sure they'll want to take care of it.

and, if no one claims it, you'll just have to do it. can't let the poor injured kitty go about with untreated injuries, now can you???

One of my cats that was a stray was verry skinny when I found him. His name is...ready for this?...

We call him Skinner or Skins.

Cool looking cat Tonya. Great color. Feed him good and he will stay around no matter what Doug has to say... laugh laugh

Besides....you gotta show Doug who wears the pants in the family.... p wink wink If that doesn't work, just break out the rolling pin! lala
Posted By: Tonya Re: Look what found me! - February 28th, 2007 at 01:58 PM
laugh laugh Doug agreed that he could be an outside kitty- if no one claims him. (**crossing everything like a madwoman that no one claims him**) He met me at the door this morning rubbing and purring and begging for more food. cool He is SOOOOOO sweet! I will put up flyers this evening.

laugh laugh laugh Mater- Doug knows that he rules his world- because I said he could! thumbup

Doug's signature line on his Wooden Boat Forum and Homesteading forum both say "I rule my world.....Tonya said I could!"

Posted By: hisgal2 Re: Look what found me! - March 1st, 2007 at 07:24 PM
Tonya, just an FYI.....if someone does call to claim the cat, make sure they have to answer a question correctly about the cat to make sure that they truly are the owners. Where we used to live, people would just see flyers like that and call if they WANTED the cat instead of if the cats was actually theirs. There were some REAL crazies that called about Thumbs!!
Posted By: Wrennie Re: Look what found me! - March 1st, 2007 at 09:34 PM
Good point Jenn.
Dont be toooo clear on his description.
Posted By: Wrennie Re: Look what found me! - March 1st, 2007 at 09:34 PM
ooooh
Or daont say if hes a male or female. thats only a 50/50 to lie about.

Looks like a nice cat, is it part Siamese?
Posted By: ksgardnr Re: Look what found me! - March 4th, 2007 at 09:08 PM
What a pretty kitty! Love the markings, & definitely has some Siamese, those are very smart. I used to have one named Loki, the name for the greek God of mischief, he was always into everything, but very smart!
Posted By: Tonya Re: Look what found me! - March 5th, 2007 at 12:52 AM
He does appear to be part Siamese, he is soooo sweet- not like any Siamese I have ever known. laugh

He is dealing with an injured leg right now. Apparently he had a puncture wound from a fight that had gotten infected and is now swollen and gross. He will let me touch it and clean it, but I am not "medicating" it at all because he licks it quite a bit.

As for the flier- no calls yet. I think he is gonna be my Milkshake Kitty! kit
