The days, nothing more than collectables
A collection of hints
Life's little story unfolds
like little pieces of paper blowing in the wind
chasing them
trying to recover anything
to make any sense
Still a mystery, my mystery

People everywhere looking into your collections
So much easier than looking at there own mirror image
Suffocating from the weight of the world
I hold my breath past the hurt
Turning more colors than the seasons
Feeling every moment from a place others pretend not to have
There is beauty, even here
In the dark, in the pain
Still a mystery, my mystery

So deep, so far away
Yet so close
To the edge I could fall
I could sink in this drowning river of guilt
Flowing from every direction
Swallowing me, if I let it
Drawing boundary lines instead of being drawn in
Holding on to my real
Still a mystery, my mystery

I love this; but I really love the first verse!!! The visuals of life as little pieces of paper blowing in the wind is really wonderful!!
Do you ever send any of your work out anywhere?
I think you're great!!! thumbup

chenno... I like your poem
My quesiton is this -- four years later has any of mystery unfolded?

I like your idea of mystery. I'm old, been through a lot , seen and heard a lot - I just call it baggage. Mystery is much nicer.

Also, I'd love to know what "re-sync" means

Yeah,
Chenno, but I think the questions change with time.
And yeah, some things do become less mysterious... thank goodness!

People usually react to things in very much the same ways. That's why your great quote is still relavent to you now, even though Plutarch wrote it more than 2500 years past.

As I experience things, yeah, things are less mysterious and more "damn, somethings never change!"

Keep writing... I look forward to seeing something new.
