with these?

The pharmacy at Target uses these somewhat firm plastic rings to put on medicine bottle necks to make it easier for family members to know which bottles belong to each one - they come in 5 different colors. Pretty smart, huh?

So, of course being a crafty person, I've saved all of mine so far -
they are 1 1/4 inches across and I have 12 so far.

So, what would YOU do with them?

Well, I can't think right now..

For me, when I'm doing crafty things...
I like to play with the items, and move them around
and position them in different positions
and patterns...

Any more pictures of different patterns??

And did you get the other colors too??
Any pictures of those???

I just put them on the floor and they pretty much fell into place like that, Weezie.

No other colors - I'm the only one who gets meds there - my husband prefers the more convenient, but very SNOTTY and PRICEY neighborhood drugstore... frown :p

ohhhhhhhhh Patty - you kill me!!!

I'm thinking they would be good to glue on the bottom of plant pots so they don't leave a ring on the surface?

But I really wanted to do something FUN with them, ya know?

Lynne, leave me alone while I think for a while. I'm sitting here in a contorted body knot at the moment, taking pics of my stockinged feet!
(How do you come up with these off-the-wall topics?) [Linked Image]

When I was in highschool, we used to make hair barretts out of the weirdest things. Like a friend of mine took a Pepsi can and smooshed it straight down and then attached it to one of those metal 3" long barretts that you can buy at the craft store. She did others too....like glued a bunch of coins and a dollar together and put them on another barrett. You could do the same with those rings. Or you could make a keychain. Or you could tie them together and make a rectangle to make a sort of hot pad. ...not sure how much heat they'd stand up to tho! laugh

Can you ask the pharmacy for different colored rings next time?? If you get multiple medications from there, you can ask that each med has a different color so that you can tell the difference between them better.

Interesting ideas, Jenn!

The pharmacy won't give the same person different colors, because it's all entered into their computer. It's really only to separate different family member's bottles, and I think that's a great idea!

Keep those ideas comin'... thumbup

When you find an idea, let me know. I have a mess of wooden curtain rings. They are a little bit bigger than you rings and fatter but.........

I would use those rings to make a lovely spring wreath since Easter is just around the corner. Maybe one with this theme. Go to your local dollarstore or walmart and buy a flat styrofoam wreath in either white or green and then glue spanish moss on the entire wreath foam making sure to cover the front and sides leave the back bare for easy hanging on the door. Then I would take your rings and glue these onto the wreath overlapping them if you should choose to do so, then buy other items such as tiny silk flowers in simular colors and any other crafts that tickle your fancy and glue all of these on with a hot glue gun. Also a nice lavender and spring green ginham bow would look nice placed on the wreath near the bottom. I don't know but that's what I would do. Don't forget to make a wire loop on the back of the wreath to use for hanging afterwards.
