SpringFever....
I've read a couple of of your posts (i was browsing before i signed up... I am impressed)
If i'm not mistaken you have a bonsai, right? I have just bought one, but i'm not quite sure how to care for it (this kind of thing happens alot doesn't it?)
Hello Tuame
Sending a big WELCOME from soggy Southern Ontario!
Yep it sure does!! I do have a bonsai.. What kind is yours? I could always look it up in my big book on bonsai if you need any help...
Put a tray of rocks and water under the planter and keep it watered every day...
THanks... The guy at the garden centre said it was a rose... though for some reason i have my doubts (I don't even know hy though).
I'm hoping to get some pics up soon... as soon as my brother decides to stop studying and uploads my photos....
Hi Hi, I'm new too
No bonsai here ... just some African violets and Christmas cacti
Hey, Tuame.... Why do the call them building, if they are already built?
Great can't wait to see the picture!! Just start a new topic in the gardening area... there you will get a LOT more help!! PS where is Malta??
Hi Jane welcome to the forum!! I seen Thorny around somewhere!!
Welcome
Hi there and Welcome to the Forum
GoneToTheBirds - Let me guess... Bird enthusiast? I knew it! How... well... i have psycic powers...
Spring - Pictures up soon.. Malta is south to Italy.. we're a puny island. We don't get snow here, it never goes below 5 degrees Celsius, which is 41 Farenheit.
Hey Tuame,
yup... I am a backyard birder -- we just caught the burb birding bug this past summer. I try not to think about life lists and such because my head hurts when I think of all the birds I've seen and never noticed.
I met, Thorny, one of the good guys, at a bird forum and he invited me here. Your English is quite good - is English your native language?
I am more and more interested in gardening - especiallly learning about anything the birds will eat that will grow in the shade.
I look forward to getting to know you.
Hello
Welcome to the froum
Nice to meet you.
Gonetothebirds: Maltese is really. Though english is a First language alongside Maltese, and Italian being well-known about the island. Does that awnser your question?
BTW, Thanks to everyone who greeted me.
Hello. Welcome to the forum.
To see a couple of my plants have a look here:
http://tuakid.tripod.com/ If you press Plant Profiles a list will come up. Enjoy!
What a beautiful garden area you have!! Love that area it is great!!
It's Kinda small tho... No place to plant new stuff without scrpping mum's plants...
What about planters and such??
That's what i'm planning on. But let me stick to eleena and Clea&Claire for now. I don't want to kill them just yet
Hi Tuame,
A cold and windy hello from northern Iowa. I'm new on here myself, but already feel at home.
It's a nice change from other forums.
By the way, I love your lemon trees. You are truly lucky to live in the climate that you have.
Jacquie
Hello and welcome!
I like the flowers it does once in a while... but the flowering period is short....but we get a lot of lemons&oranges.
I'm Thornius the Bird Man here. I've never met anyone from Malta. Got any Falcons there? Welcome to the Forum.
hello
welcome to the fourm!
Yep ... we have a Maltese falcon in fact... though couldn't find a photo of it.
http://www.birdlifemalta.org/ is the main bird organisation in malta.
Unfortunately we have hunters in malta.... and the gorvernment doesn't want to ban them to gain an extra few votes....
Most birdwatchers, including myself are not against hunters AT ALL. I was a hunter for years. While hunting you carefully observe ALL wildlife. I noticed and became more and more interested in the birds I saw while hunting and eventually lost all interest in hunting and became just interested in looking at and photographing birds. Here in the U.S., hunters have done more to increase the number of birds and improve their habitat than any OTHER group, including birdwatchers.
I LOVED the pictures of the Hoopoe and the Sardinian Warbler.
