My mother always used to mix together baking soda and water into a paste and slather it all over the sting. I don't ever remember it helping the pain however I was a wee-bit melodramatic as a child laugh

My grandmother would make mud and put on bee sting or the baking soda too . It worked . Just let it dry and then wash it off .

Another use for tobacco , sprinkle the left over tobacco out of a butt into houseplants , keeps those pesky little gnats from invading your houseplants and your house .
