I looked out our patio door this afternoon and I saw that we had some visitors!

We have turkeys come visit us quite often! We have had up to 18 of them in our yard at one time! The pictures are not the best because they were taken through the window in the patio door but I thought I would share them anyway! thumbup

That is awesome!!! thumbup I've had wild turkeys running through my yard too and they are funny to watch! laugh

They are great to watch but this is the first time that I have taken pics of them so I thought I may as well share them! The only thing is that they scratch through the snow and into the grass looking for food and they dig my grass up! But, I can deal with that! They only do that around the bird feeders because that is where they look for food! At least they don't go around my whole yard doing that! thumbup

Do you see all the tracks in the yard? Those tracks are turkeys, deer, squirrels and everything else you can think of! laugh thumbup

I noticed all those tracks! I guess the wildlife there love you guys! laugh thumbup

Great shots!!! It is so cool that you get so many different animals there!

I will try and get more pictures of all the animals that come around! Last spring I threw the rest of an old loaf of bread out the patio door because I knew that something would eat it and we watched a fox come and take all of it piece by piece and run down into the woods with it! It was so cool to watch! I have that on the video camera but no pics! I will be better about taking pics of everything! laugh laugh thumbup

I'm glad that you have all enjoyed looking at them!

Oh that would have been fun to watch!

Wow, I don't think I've ever saw a real life fox before. laugh

You usually don't get to see foxes in the wild much. Loz. I've seen maybe 5- 10 in the wild in 45 years of studying natures. I've actually seen a lot more coyotes than anything else.

I've seen both deer and Wild Turkeys within two miles of my present house in the suburbs of Nashville, TN.

You should come visit at my house Thorn! We have lived here for a year and a half and that is the 3rd or 4th fox I have seen! thumbup But, we live out in the boonies! laugh We moved into this house in June of 2005 and that spring before we moved in, a fox had its babies under our deck. The people that lived here before were an elderley couple that didn't go out and use the deck a whole lot so I suppose the fox thought it was a safe place. I would like to have seen that!

Ah, that makes sense then.....Mark has saw a few before but he's great at spotting things because he's a hunter.

We don't have too many deer on this side of town, but on the other side where my sister lived they would run through her yard all the time....

Years ago we had a bear come down the hill thru the neighbors yard! sca

sca I would be a little scared if I saw a bear in my yard! We don't have bears in my neck of the woods! I shouldn't say that though because there is a bee keeper that lives about 10 miles from me and he had the DNR out there and they had bear tracks! shk Also, I live right on a bluff overlooking the river and people have been seeing cougars down there. That kinda freaks me out! My neighbors have horses and in the fall of 2005 one of their colts died because it got spooked and ran head on into the fence! This was when they first started seeing cougars in our area so who knows! It could have been in my front yard for all I know! laugh laugh Last summer we were on vacation in northern MN and a bear ran across the road right in front of our car! But, that is normal for up there! That is where they live.

Those are great pictures!
I put cracked corn on my hill wherever I want to put a new flower bed in the next year and the turkey weed out all the grass etc for me with their scratching! thumbup
Our yards sound very similar with their wildlife visitors. Bear are common here in yards.

We put corn out for them all the time but I will have to do what you are doing and put it where I want flower beds! laugh thumbup I love our wildlife visitors! thumbup
