Jane Doe
Have you seen her, a princess no longer
walking beneath the surface, staring at sorrows hand
holding an unfilled cup
Can you spare some change, of mind
a safe place to sleep, past the worry
ceaseless rain cannot wash the dirt from her life
Can you identify her, so much silence
has made her unnoticed, even from herself
hours dismantle the days, never to regain
Aching still, isolated torment
Could you find her, a moment of free?
a scrap of hope,
away from marigold days.
