Where I'm sitting was underwater in that flood I posted about in June.
See my rocks Jiffy!!
See Lynne the water in my stream isnt yoo-hoo like the creek in town.

Wow me too! How nice to get up and go fishing so close to home!

Wrennie

My god!!How amazing, breathtaking! I could get lost there just watching the water rush and listening to the sound!

Just wonderful! Loved those picks! Now that is what I call being rich! having something like this to enjoy!

That is beautiful Wrennie!! flw

To enjoy Ontario to the fullest, you have to go a wee bit north of me...closer to where Penny lives. Beautiful cottage country up there! We rent the same cottage every year and it is the most peaceful, beautiful place I have ever been!
Here I am sitting on our dock enjoying the scenery. You can see the crystal clear waters.

[Linked Image]

Here's our cottage. It's on an island...there's only 3 cottages on the entire island! You can't even see them from our cottage. (I always say "our cottage"...maybe someday we will own it.)

[Linked Image]

And here's Max and I fishing..both enjoying the scenery. We are going back to the cottage from Aug.22 'til Sept. 2. I can't wait!! clp

I hope Penny posts some pics from her neck of the woods. My brother and his wife have their favourite place right near Penny. (They concieved their first child there. shocked )

Ok - I'm officially envious of all the vistas you folks have. I'm going to go take a picture of the Costco parking lot so you can enjoy my views along with me......

Bev - you are HYSTERICAL!!! laugh

Christina - ooooooooooh, ahhhhhhhhh!
What a beautiful retreat you have there! Duh There were sooooo many areas that I saw, where I just wanted to stop, take out a book or my knitting, and set a spell while listening to nature - just wonderful up there! cool

I don't have either of those. frown
Remember what I said...this is north of me. There's nothing here in Sarnia...oh...the Bluewater Bridge connecting Canada and the US but I can see it from my house...and it's not all that exciting anymore. The fry truck there has great fries though. thumbup

I don't have either either! laugh But we have lots of Walmarts! :p

Beautiful scenery you have there Wrennie! We used to always go fishing but we have't been in years.

And Christina, that spot looks so nice.....private and secluded.....I think I could handle hanging out there for a week or so.

Beautiful pics. No real scenery from outside of the house, but I do get to see Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainer from different parts of town. Will have to get pics.

I will try and get some pictures of where i live, we are very fortunate to live on Georgian Bay and have the mountains behind us and the beach right at our door step, we are definetly "cottage country here".
I wont ask where that place is Christina laugh laugh
Posted By: Wrennie Re: Scenery - July 16th, 2006 at 10:42 PM
BF reminded me, I am going to take a picture next time i go to walmart. If you look away from the building you see a pretty picture. I wont give it away, I just have to remember my camera when I go. Probably wednesday.

clp Triss is that a weeping birch on the right of the picture? I wish I had a big lawn like that! Except for the mowing part laugh ! i have to get a pic of my front "lawn".
{didnt I say that in another post? where was that? I was complaining about mr smoker taking over my porch.... idea }

This is sort of southeast view from my front yard....that's the little spruce tree we have... [Linked Image]

and this is directly east from the front of our house - the barn yard everyone turns around in when they realize they came up our driveway instead of staying on the road....

Sure, come on over

I forgot the western views....just give me a sec
Posted By: ChristinaC Re: Scenery - July 19th, 2006 at 08:58 AM
Okay...I JUST took this. This is what I see from my front door and windows. It's a wall!! frown It divides my street and Highway 401. It certainly serves its purpose from keeping sound and exhaust out but WHAT and eyesore!! Needless to say...I don't spend a whole lotta' time in my front yard!!
Posted By: Fernie Re: Scenery - July 19th, 2006 at 08:59 AM

Posted By: Fernie Re: Scenery - July 19th, 2006 at 09:03 AM
that isn't the worst view I have ever seen. I used to look out my office window at a brick wall and heating ductwork. At least your wall has growing things on it!!
Posted By: Fernie Re: Scenery - July 19th, 2006 at 09:05 AM
I really love living here. It is a wonderfully serene and peaceful place.

Heaven!!

My street is surprisingly quiet. Not much traffic..all my neighbours are elderly..it is quite nice. And my street was just recently paved so it is PERFECT for rollerblading! Though..some day, I'd love to live where you do. Maybe I'll just move in with you. wink laugh
Hope you like dogs. laugh
