Oh man, Oh man, Sarah! That is looking very sweet indeed!

Are you about psyched, or what?

Did they give you an expected date when they would be ready to do the interior finishing?

Funny you should mention closets...after our chat, I went back over the plans. As drawn, it seems to be lacking in storage! shk

So, we revised a little, hopefully enough!

Wow, If I had a house that big I'd be in heaven. I'd never be bored(I love cleaning). It's so nice to start to see it all come together. Are you picking out colours yet?

Now, who wants to talk about paint colors?
That's Rachel's field of expertise.
She can show me the weirdest color chips...and I think she's lost her mind. But, when she's finished, it always looks so good!

What colors do you have in mind?
Posted By: barleychown Re: The mud pit, part 2 - May 12th, 2006 at 04:03 AM
I'm thinking of using the same colors I used in this house and adding a few to the mix...

Right now I have green, a brown/grey, blue, and light light purple....

I want to do at least one wall in the dining room with a deep red, and the master bedroom and bathroom in tropical blues and greens...

Wow,it's really coming along nicely thumbup

I am so excited for you!

Thank you. grinnnn It's so nice to see it so close to finished.

That looks so awesome Sarah!

Love the idea of red in the dining area. It would be awesome if you could find a big curio or china display cabinet in there for Mike's firetrucks since they go so well with the color. And a very unique feature in a place where you would not find it.

Are you planning on the deeper tropical shades in the bedroom/bathroom?

Also I was thinking about it some last night and you had said before you like a clean look in the kitchen, what about keeping the walls white but paining the ceiling one of your colors? Is there enough of a break to do that or would you have to do the same to the family room and laundry?

I'm so happy for you, Sarah! grinnnn I know you must be itching to get started with the painting and the gardening and the.......

Is it just me, or does it amaze anyone else about how small the rooms can seem when they are being built, but everything is finished they look so much bigger.

Looks great Sarah!

What color is the outside going to be?

Is it a moduler or was it an actual blue print made from someone's head?
Posted By: Merme Re: The mud pit, part 2 - May 13th, 2006 at 01:00 AM
Sarah! Oh, this is great! Good for you!

I like the sound of your color ideas and your Thyme lawn.

How is preparing to list the old house coming along?
