Have you started your shopping? Do you have alot to do? Do you do black friday? I used to work every black friday retail and swore to never shop on that day. Now I feel like I'm missing everything.
I know there are some that don't celebrate christmas. You probly get frustrated when you go out shopping, everything's christmas. Can't get away from it.

Oh man. I just saw the other posts about black friday and shopping. I didn't scroll down far enough. Also saw about decorating. Some of you guys are really on the ball. I couldn't get done that early. I wouldn't know what to do with the rest of the days.

I have started my lists of what to get my family. That's a major step for me!!! I don't shop on Black Friday, I don't have patience to deal with people. I try to shop online and go during my lunch hour, a little bit at a time works for me.

I guess I am the only one who does not mind hitting the stores on Christmas Eve. I always save at least the stocking stuffers for then and always enjoy myself out and about at the last minute.
Posted By: chenno Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 21st, 2006 at 05:01 AM
Triss, wish you could do mine;-)
Posted By: Triss Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 21st, 2006 at 05:13 AM
Me too Angie. I do not mind the shopping late at all. I plan on taking Patrick out tonight, just over to the Dollar Store so he can shop for his siblings. I will take Jonny on Saturday. I love letting them do their own shopping!
Posted By: chenno Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 21st, 2006 at 05:22 AM
Triss,Now that would be fun, watching little ones shop and pick out gifts:-) that I would love!
Posted By: Triss Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 21st, 2006 at 05:27 AM
It is amazing how careful they are about choosing something just right for the other kids. I just love it. Lys and Zack already shopped at school where they had a special Christmas shop all set up so I do not get to take them out this year. Mikey and Charlie are too young so the gifts that Patrick picks out will be from him and Charlie and those Jonny gets will be from him and Mikey.

That sounds like my stocking stuffers as well Weezie. They always get a toothbrush and at least a candy candy. Good combo, huh. This year will be crayons and colored pencils and coloring books too.

Posted By: weezie13 Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 21st, 2006 at 10:34 PM
I buy lot's of stuff at the grocery store...
and when we're in the grocery store, I tell the kids, NO, I think maybe Santa or the Easter Bunny will bring it..
and lo and behold, it shows up in the stockings or baskets..
That way, if they're bugging me for stuff in the store, I just say NO and they really think I won't get it for them, and when they get it in the stocking, they never think it's me fillin' the stockings' cause MOM ALWAYS SAYS NOOOOOOOOO!
*Wink~wink*

I buy the assorted colors or smells of hair shampoo's for kids, neat band~aids, I even bought my littlest one, his own band~aid box for a $1.oo at Wally~World... and I keep it filled with HIS band~aid's... little one's or cartoon one's.. and if he feels he needs one, he gets one..
and is not riflin' thru my cabinets to find some..he knows right where his are...

I even got my oldest kid can's of gravey..
a certain kind that he always wants, and I am always saying I have to wait until it goes on sale, its' so expensive.. I bought a bunch and I know he'll get a "big kick" out of that..
Posted By: Triss Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 22nd, 2006 at 01:10 AM
That is so great Weezie, I have to remember all thos tips. I am so excited cuz at the dollar store last night I found a Wiggles toothbrush. Mikey is wild about the Wiggles and he is going to be so jazzed about this one. I actually got 2 so I can replace it later on!

Posted By: Triss Re: Christmas Shopping? - December 25th, 2006 at 05:51 AM
I am all done shopping but Dan is out again. Dunno what he wants to get though other than Eggs Benedict fixings for breakfast. He did call to let me know he found a couple of Wiggle's coloring books at the ONE store I did not go to cuz I just knew they would not have them. The kids are way loaded on coloring books now. Should last until Easter when they will get more coloring supplies in their Easter baskets.
