This week was the ACS Daffodil Days. I got three bunches with my teddy bear orders. They are gorgeous....thought I'd share the joy.

Very Pretty Jenn! thumbup

I love Daffodils....when we first moved to the US and dad dug up his garden he let me plant some Daffodil bulbs. They still come up each year and he always cuts them and brings them over to me. grinnnn

Do daffodils come up really early in the Spring?
Do you have to plant the bulbs in the Fall?

Yep to both. The best part is, they just keep multiplying. You can get great big bags full of bulbs in the fall at Home Depot and WallyWorld for really cheap, if you don't have to have the special hybrids.

Why would someone need a special hybrid?
They do grow in zone 5, right?
I've seen them up here before, but I don't know if they are hybrids or not...

Becky, some people just really like hybrids. We have a neighbor that only plants with them.

I just get the plain old Daffs Becky...and there's nothing special you have to do...just plant them in the fall and you're rewarded every spring! thumbup

That's a great way to bring some sunshine inside Jenn! thumbup

Loz...so great. Give dad some kissies from all of us.
Becky...they're ALL REAL hardy. Just different kinds. NO SUCH THING as a daffodil that isn't gorgeous. I have payed extra for some kinds, but the cheap ones are as beautiful as any.
