It's really hard to see him...gotta reeeeally look. He's made a home in the rock garden - a nice little cove is there for him where we surrounded a protruding pipe with some river rock. He was sitting out but I spooked him with the hose before I knew he was there and he went hopping inside, so I carefully moved the rock to snap this pic. Wahoooo! I was sooo excited to see him!

My kids and the neighbor boy *my third son*
found a great big ole toad today..
They wanted to keep him, I said no way,
"He's on duty, catchin' bugs!!!"

P.S. Is the view of "Kermit" from the top????

I heard them crick-crick-cricking this evening (sorry, frogs just doen't 'croak' imho!) and I was so excited - I sure hope the family moves in! LOL!

Hey, do frogs eat wasps? The wasps love hanging around my water spicket, because it leaks a little when I'm running the hose and they come down for a drink...makes it hard to get to it to turn it off!

The picture is looking down at him...he was at a bad angle for picture taking - a little camera shy, I guess. You can kind of see the white line that goes from his 'neck' to between his eyes - his head is just right of my thumb. Clumsy, trying to disassemble those rocks without hurting the little guy and taking a picture!

Mary, just squirt the water hose at the wasps and they will leave long enough for you to turn the water off! dev Since I am allergic to them, I don't mind watering them down if they get in my way.....

Hey Dianna...can I ask how you found out you were allergic? Kinda sounds like a dumb question - I'm assuming you got stung and that's the only way to find out.

I'm more afraid of bees and wasps because I've never been stung...and I don't know if I'm allergic. More fear of the unknown than the pain of a sting...

I got stung and my whole face and tongue swelled up! shk Emergency room doctor said if my parents hadn't gotten me to him in time, my face would have split. I was as swollen as I could go! Weren't very pretty, I tell you. My siblings brought all their friends over to "show me off"! mad laugh I was fifteen at the time. shocked

shk Oh man, that's scary...thankfully they got you there in time.....WOW.......I spray the ones around here down with a hose too...they always like to fly in my main garden prep area right near the hose....

I like your little froggy friend Mary....I've never had a frog around my yard....I had a big old stinking groundhog yesterday though, and my squirrel friend.

Wow Dianna...scary stuff. May be I'll be lucky and never get stung. Don't know how that can happen though with all the work I'm doing in the garden now...it seems inevitable. My luck I'll get so scared about being allergic I'll give myself a heart attack! Duh

He was a cutie, Loz...but has since found a new home frown I haven't seen any more froggies in or near my mini rock garden there...but I can hear them out there somewhere! I'm guessing my cats keep them away dev
